In 1879, the stagecoach line was replaced by the Union Pacific Railroad, and the stagecoaches were retired. However, the stagecoach line left behind a legacy of adventure and exploration. To reach Stagecoach State Park in Routt County, Colorado, head west on Rabbit Ears Pass from Steamboat Springs. Keep going until you reach the town of Oak Creek, then turn south onto County Road 14. The drive takes about an hour, and the scenery is beautiful the whole way. Once you reach the park, there are plenty of activities to keep you busy. 

There is no entrance fee to explore this location. 

Stagecoach State Park is open year-round, but hours vary by season. In the winter, the park is open from 8 AM to 5 PM, while in the summer it is open from 6 AM to 9 PM. The park is also open on holidays, with special hours for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.
